God is in the Journey
Over 72 years, I learned the following truth: "Life is a journey - we start at the beginning and stop at the end. Without God, the journey is empty, fraught with danger, and when it's over, it's over." After close to 40 years, I learned that I had been journeying with God all my life and just didn't know it. After writing my memoir, Lady Father, I began to realize that all that happened to me in my life and ministry had roots back in the days when I just merrily lived my life without knowing much about God and certainly not knowing God. I finally decided it was time to explore where my faith came from and why it was so dormant for so long.
That's when "God is in the Journey" was born. It traces my life from 1947, through the 50's and 60's when I lived a good Christian life with my family, but it was a "Christian life" only in appearance because I had no idea what being a Christian meant. It's a delightful and insightful journey into my early years as an anonymous Christian, unknowingly blossoming into God's ordained servant, thankful that my life had not been without God. In fact, God had definitely been on my journey.
